Dubai, UAE, 26th September 2022, ZEXPRWIRE, GoDomain, has recently announced that it will start offering the .go domain for registration. With this new development, the platform will now be accessible to a large number of crypto users, giving them the ease and flexibility to use these domains for anything related to crypto.

Similarly to other blockchain registrars, GoDomain uses Crypto Name Servers (CNS), which are smart contracts that control the creation and use of blockchain domains. Developers may easily include blockchain-based domains into their applications since every CNS the platform issues is an ERC-721 token, also known as a Non-fungible token (NFT). This enables users to manage their ownership of crypto domains from compatible bitcoin wallets, exchanges, and marketplaces.

According to the company, the addition of the .GO domain extension might benefit the existing list of domain extensions that are more oriented towards native blockchain typographies. A .GO Domain is an acronym for its owners’ “global” ambition that are easy to remember. As the cryptocurrency market craze continues, investors are grabbing up blockchain domain names, which are being produced as NFTs in the same manner as “.com” domain names.

GoDomain provides a gateway for people to purchase .go domains through XDCPay, a bridge allowing users to access  XDC dApps without running a full XDC node. Users must install XDCPay in their browser and connect their wallets to the XDC mainnet in order to purchase a .Go domain. After the setup is complete, users can visit the GoDomain website and purchase their domains.

At the moment, GoDomains does not support all of the usual browsers. Instead, the domains need to be resolved with XDCPay, which can be added as an extension or add-on. However, according to the company, it plans to make changes in the future to allow users to use its domains the same way any other domain would.

Currently, in its Beta Phase, the company offers a welcome domain registration price starting from 10 USD to 30 USD based on the number of letters in the domain. However, in response to a question about if these domains can host websites, the company stated that since GoDomains is built on Smart Contracts, the only option is Interplanetary File System (IPFS).

GoDomain aims to provide users with high-security domains that are resistant to brute force attacks, providing a single point of access to multiple services such as forwarding crypto addresses, redirection of websites, and many more. In addition, the blockchain-native nature of these domains makes them censorship-resistant and will allow DApps to be accessed holistically.
