Singapore, Singapore, Singapore, 16th Sep 2022, King NewsWire – MBH Corporation plc announced that it will be hosting the second instalment of its Female Business Leadership Programme in Q4 2022. This 6-week programme for female business owners, which kicks off on 17 October 2022, is aimed at motivating, inspiring and supporting female business owners in the SME space for businesses in the UK as well as non-UK businesses.

A long-time advocate of diversity and gender equality in the workplace, MBH Group is very focused on encouraging and supporting more female business leaders to grow and develop and is utilising its diversified role as an investment holding company to host its second fully funded Female Business Leadership Programme. This initiative is being led by MBH Board Member and CEO of Acacia Training, Victoria Sylvester.

Statistics[1] show that female business leaders play a vital and intrinsic role in the business world today. There are over 252 million female business owners across the world today. Another 153 million women operate well-established businesses. These heady numbers represent an increase of at least 114 percent over the last 20 years. In 2020, 47 percent of women started a business in America, compared to 44 percent of men, creating more than 9 million jobs in women-owned companies. On the political front, approximately 29 percent of the countries in Europe have a woman holding the position of either Prime Minister or President.

These staggering numbers have proven to be intrinsically important to the business world. According to McKinsey research[2], every 10 percent increase in gender diversity shows a rise in EBIT of 3.5 percent. Other studies have shown that companies with greater gender diversity are significantly more profitable than those without and companies that boast a higher representation of female leaders outperform those that don’t.

Without a doubt, women bring a different set of skills and are more likely to drive agendas such as ESG and EDI and Sylvester, as a female business leader herself, understands this intimately.

“While I never really considered my gender and have always been focused on what I am aiming to achieve and build, I have experienced times where I have not been taken seriously, perhaps underestimated,” Sylvester shared. “I would like to see more women role models in business. Growing up, I was exposed to many successful women as role models, and I have made it a personal agenda to pay forward with the mentorship and assistance I have received throughout my entrepreneur journey.”

This Female Leadership Programme is envisioned to provide well-rounded support to fellow female business owners in the SME space both within and out of the UK, regardless of industry. Any female business owners looking for advice and business support, can sign up for the Female Leadership Programme at https://form.jotform.com/213283387933059.

The second instalment of The MBH Female Business Leadership Programme will kick off on 17 October 2022.
