New York, New York, United States, 29th Sep 2022, King NewsWire, Nikki Exotika, former member of the pop girl group Secret Girls, is now taking on the role of the century and the challenge of a lifetime. As Nikki enters the gritty, steamy world of the television show Stiletto, it is up to her to embody living legend Gina Germaine.
“The ability to step into this powerful woman’s shoes is an honor,” Nikki says, taking a moment during the lengthy hair and makeup process to reflect on the challenge. “I depended on the team. We had a total of four hair and makeup artists on set during filming. I only got to work with the male makeup artists during my time.
“It wasn’t all glamour and glitter; it was work. We worked in the heat of the New York summer, filming in over twenty locations. And every step of the way was Enrique, Mario, and no joke Luigi—the fab three and my glam squad. . . . Week after week, the team transformed me from the soft pink Barbie that is Nikki Exotika into the glamour and prestige of Gina Germaine.
When asked what excites her most about Stiletto, set to premier in late 2024, Nikki had this to say: “I think I am most excited to introduce the world to Gina Germaine. She gave me her blessing, and that means the world to me.”
We also talked to the creative producer and director of Stiletto, Sadaisha Shimmers, who shared a warm comment about Nikki: “It was amazing to see her dedication on set. She even got sick during production. COVID-clear, she came to set sick, went through the arduous hair and makeup process, and delivered. The woman works hard. She did all her own stunts, including two fight scenes and being suspended in a five-foot aerialist’s heart-shaped hoop.”
This is the first television series from DivaGirl Productions. We asked Sadaisha what else we can expect to see in Stiletto, but the producer remained tight-lipped, leaving us with this morsel: “It was self-defense.” So, there you have it: Drama, Mystery, and Showgirls. We are intrigued by this based-on-real-life production. Stiletto is set to be the must-see series of 2024!
