Sydney, Australia, 10th June 2022, ZEXPRWIRE, The Nan Tien Institute is only a couple of weeks away from showcasing its unique way of teaching and its sector leading courses at its 2022 Virtual Open Day.

Established in 2011, Nan Tien Institute (NTI) is a renowned private, not for profit, government accredited higher education institute offering postgraduate courses in Applied Buddhist Studies, Health and Social Wellbeing, Humanistic Buddhism and Mental Health. Opening its virtual doors and allowing prospective students a peek inside what the Institute has to offer, NTI is looking forward to welcoming a new cohort of postgraduate students for the upcoming second semester and 2023.

NTI offers its classes online, providing convenience and flexibility and encouraging students to actively engage in a virtual space. This open day will be no different.  The Virtual Open Day offers students information regarding NTI and its programs. Prospective students can get answers to their questions about courses and study, and participate in a guided meditation and short lecture presentations from its faculty. The Open Day will introduce prospective students to the NTI contemplative education model, its highly experienced and qualified academic staff, and the experiences of NTI Alumni, all from the comfort of the participants’ own homes.

In 2023, participants of the Virtual Open Day, will be treated to guided meditation by Dr Nadine Levy, Head of Health and Social Wellbeing, an exploration of Contemplative Learning from Dr Sue Sumskis, Head of Mental Health, and a lecture presentation from Dr Jonathan Page, Oncologist, Buddhist Teacher and NTI lecturer. Alumni will describe their own experience as a student, and share what studying programs at NTI can do for a student.

In the words of an attendee of the 2021 Open Day, “the virtual open day is an excellent opportunity to showcase what NTI does best, for students across the globe” and “it is a great way for NTI to interact with prospective students with  information about NTI and programs, but also allows students a little taste of what studying with NTI might actually look like, allowing prospective students the ability to get all their information prior to making a choice about their studies.”

“We are excited to invite you to login and learn about NTI’s unique contemplative and embodied learning approach to education, one that opens minds and hearts, and transforms individuals and communities”, said a spokesperson for NTI.

The Virtual Open Day will run on 23 June from 4-6pm via Zoom. The event is free, and registrations are essential. You can register via https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/334240862417 or contact the Institute on +61  (02) 4258 0700 or [email protected]
